Warframe’s Duviri Paradox is great if you like Rogue-like and Souls-like games, not so much if you like Warframe

Warframe’s Duviri Paradox

Whether you are just starting with Warframe or have been playing for years, The Duviri Paradox will be available to all players. From the very beginning of your journey, all Tenno can choose to begin at the ending and play The Duviri Paradox. Experience it for yourself this April on all platforms and play through a brand new Cinematic Quest, a whole new space in the Origin System and Endless Mission varieties, as well as loads of new Customizations to personalize your Operator, Drifter and Warframes!

When you play Warframe for the first time or if you’re returning, you have the opportunity to choose one of two beginnings for your story: the Warframe Path or the Paradox Path. Both will converge in time, but it’s up to you to decide.

New Players choose either Duviri or Warframe modes at the start

Choose the Paradox Path to assume the role of The Drifter and experience all that The Duviri Paradox has to offer right away. Or opt for the Warframe Path to begin the Awakening Quest in the Origin System – the traditional beginning for Warframe.

Complete tasks in your exploration of Duviri to choose from Decrees that affect your gameplay for that visit to Duviri. Over time in Duviri you can choose to upgrade your Drifter to increase your power level or provide additional utility like mobility bonuses.

Intrinsics are carried forward between Spirals to permanently grow your dominance of Duviri, allowing you to unlock Drifter Melee Stances or make permanent Upgrades to help you in Combat, Riding, Opportunity and Endurance.

Warframe’s Duviri Paradox is nothing like Warframe

Warframe’s Duviri Paradox is a beautiful-looking game mode featuring Rogue-like buffs and Souls-like combat. Since neither of these features are experienced in the core game I think we’ll be seeing a lot of mixed opinions. New players who complete Duviri and jump into Warframe will feel like they were misled about what the core game is. Players who enjoy Warframe may not feel the need to play the new mode after its initial experience.

In either case, expect a lot of red text hotfixes in game for the next couple of days.
