A new brand, a new website, a new vision
Thank you for stopping by and experiencing the next step in SanJose.org’s evolution. While our focus continues to drive visitation and promote our city’s unique events we also want to show the world just what it is to be a part of our City. To do this we’ve not only created a new look, but allowed you, our audience, to take part in shaping how visitors see us.
We begin with our main splash image, which currently shows snap shots from events at a local festival, the South First Art Walk, Fanime, and our own California Theatre. Throughout the coming months you’ll see this image change based on other local imagery from real and current events. Gone are the days of canned photography and touched up glamour shots of mystery people in places far, far away. This is real innovation at work. This is San Jose.
We continue this theme through our community page, which allows You the site visitor to upload photos taken within our city. Who knows, perhaps one of your photos submitted will end up on our main splash image one day. Here you can also read some posts from local Bay Area Twitter users and Bloggers. What they say and what they do is open for all to view and take part in.
Throughout our website you’ll encounter links to restaurants, nightlife, activities, sports and recreational spots in our various neighborhoods. These are supplied from You, our local business partners, our community. We encourage you to list your favorite spots on our site, and know that for every place you list, a Yelp review will appear to give visitors and locals a look into real reviews from real people. We also offer one click access to OpenTable for those who want to make their reservations quickly.
For our meeting planners and business partners, we show the latest events happening in the Bay Area on our calendar, powered by Artsopolis, as well as give you the opportunity to chat live with our Sales team. All this and we still provide the information you need on our venues, facility services, supplier listings of local businesses (user submitted as well) and reviews from Travelocity to solidify our one team approach service model and make your event the most successful it can be.
So here we are. A new brand, a new website, a new vision for not just our team, but for the amazing people who live and work here, creating innovative tools and ideas, while not always quickly adopted, for better or for worse, innovation starts here.
