San Jose Jazz Festival 2010

The San Jose Jazz Festival is livening up our downtown core from August 13th through the 15th with bands hitting the stages at noon on Friday, 10am on Saturday and 7am for the early birds on Sunday morning. Both legendary performers and local artists will be demonstrating their special flavors of Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz, Blues, R&B, Hip Hop, Smooth and Fusion styles.

At a glance, the Jazz Festival is a three day event, with eight main stages, and twelve local restaurants, lounges and bars will have their own unique performers playing as well. Family-friendly and with great regional, national and international talent placing this year’s Twenty-First Jazz Festival as one of the top Jazz Festivals in the nation!

Artists performing this year include George Clinton, John Ellis & Double-Wide, Maceo Parker, Irma Thomas, Bobby Matos, Ruthie Foster, John Handy, Nnenna Freelon, Tower of Power, Carolyn Wonderland, The Ford Blues Band with Robben Ford and many more!

This year’s Jazz Festival will also feature extra events on each day including a CEO Jam Session, Festival Jam Session, Jazz Brunch, Jazz Mass, Drum Night, Organ Night and activities for kids near the Salsa and Latin stages!
