Can Trumps Wall Protect the US from Drug Abuse?

“Every time I go [to New Hampshire], people come up to me, and they say, ‘Mr. Trump, what are we going to do? Drugs are pouring in,’” the business mogul said. “I’m going to create borders. No drugs are coming in. We’re going to build a wall.”

Believe me, I will solve the problem. They will stop coming to New Hampshire, they will stop coming to our country,” he continued. “The people that are in trouble, the people that are addicted, we’re going to work with them and try to make them better, and we will make them better.”

According to Trump, building a wall across the U.S. border with Mexico will stop the flow of drugs into the US.

Trump said his plan to build a wall across the U.S. border with Mexico will stem the flow of illegal drugs into the country, ABC reported.

“We can just stop it with where they don’t start. And we can talk to people and talk to the kids and say ‘don’t do it,'” Trump said.

Trump, who said he abstained from drugs and alcohol for a long time, said substance addiction is “a very tough thing,” adding he has known several people who struggled with it.

“We are going to help people that have the problem and try to get them off,” he said. “But what really is easy is to convince everybody ‘don’t take it.'”
